Andrew Fancett I like how it is coming along so far, the searching for location feature is good and maybe you can further filter it to show only specific activities you want to see in a certain area. Also I'm not sure what the difference in the colored bubbles are since multiple activities can be present in those bubbles that are the same in others. Another thing you could add would be to show your recently visited places on that map as well so you can get an idea of the general hotspots you have explored.

Tyler Sorensen I imagine you have this coming down the road but it would be nice if I clicked on the activity if a popup came up with the information for that particular activity. It would also be really cool if you could integrate more temporary events (like a 5k run, or a parade, concert, etc.). Also I'm not entirely sure what the different color circles signify. Looks good so far!

Cynthia Hong I'm not too sure what the different colors of bubbles are suppose to mean, but I like how you can do the different filters. The final feature could be that you list the specific places and a short description of the activity after clicking the circle.

Drew Bartleman I like the panel on the left that shows the different types of businesses to select, but it would be nice to have a slightly larger selection to include other hot spots or just ordinary popular outlets and stores. It would also be neat to remove extraneous colors - for example, having green for parks isn't really necessary and contrasts with the route and circle colors. For our app, we made the map greyscale and kept the circles in color.

Sandra: Awesome work so far. Feedback I gave in class included reconsidering your color palette (e.g. not using red for most optimal spots) and being more explicit about what is the measurement of popularity/foot traffic (e.g. number of check-in's etc.). Another suggestion is to change the icons indicating restaurants and stuff on the to be more specific to its location (e.g. color coded pins, etc.). You mentioned adding lists of places that are within the app-- it would be nice to include the number of check-in's within the last 24 hrs/something like that and rank the places by that. More circles on the map would be interesting too, because the ones you showed were far apart from each other.

Ryan: Nice progress so far, y'all have clearly made a lot of commits. In the next iteration, I would like to see more clarity on the controls and what the iconography/colors mean. I'm not initially sure what I should be interacting with, and I'm not sure what all of the icons mean. When talking in person these things become clear, but instead of using labeling like "red zone" and then explaining it to me, I'd rather just have it be called something intuitive in the first place

Yacoub: Just looking at the app, I'm not sure what I should interact with. The list in the left isn't clear as to whether I should interact with it or not. I also don't know why I would filter by color since it doesn't inherently mean anything. You can color code levels of popularity like most popular = red, but then call the filter "Most Popular" instead of red and then just make it red on the map and the filter button. The ratio of the size of the panel on the left to the map itself is good.

Greg: To complete the core functionality I think they need to decide what the radius of the circles are gonna mean. Whether they are trying to be walking distances, driving, or made by existing foot traffic conditions. It may be the circles are not needed, but that the locations can be shown based on foot traffic so to not show gaps between the circle spaces. Their UI as of now looks nice, as has functionality. I did not see how the location searching functioned, whether you can use the map to do the searching part.
