Custom drawn crosshair killing fps #3

I realized when I had a custom drawn crosshair my fps was quite low relative to one of the mod's presets. I drew a replica of the square preset to make sure, and when looking up at the sky the actual square preset had ~1270fps, the drawn replica had ~850fps, and vanilla crosshair had ~1300fps. The difference is less drastic in actual play, but it still remains almost a %10 difference at times. 1.20.1 fabric + sodium

Even just drawing a 3x3 iron-golem shaped plus results in 30 less fps than the mod presets.

The effect is there but minimal with shaders, I would assume this might be a CPU bound issue then rather than rendering. The effect could also just be minimal compared relative to the shaders for the rendering.
