If I start the jMonkey SDK, it opens with the tab labelled 'OpenGL window'
showing and working (it can display the scene or the terrain for editing). If
I then switch to another tab and back to the OpenGL Window I find that it no
longer works. The window is grey and doesn't change if I attempt to edit the
scene.
(To be completely clear, because I know how annoying vague bug reports are,
most of the jMonkey window still works as normal. I can see the project
browser on the left, the application output at the bottom, and so on. However,
the OpenGL Window tab is grey and displays nothing useful.)
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit with the proprietary nVidia display drivers;
specifically the version which is installed by Steam (nvidia-experimental-310
version 310.14-0ubuntu0.3). I am also running the newer kernel,
linux-image-3.5.0-26-generic version 3.5.0-26.42~precise1. Given that most
jMonkey users don't seem to be affected by this problem, I suspect that the
problem may be specific to Linux or this nVidia driver.
By the way, jMonkey-based games seem to work fine.
