What about using bohagan1/TkTable here? #6

Dear William,

as you probably still remember, I am maintaining the tk-table package in Debian based on this repository as a dependency to build SAOImageDS9 for Debian. The package is kept separate to also enable others to use tktable in Tcl/Tk scripts, and that works quite well (~30% of the tktable installations are not DS9 related).

During a discussion in the usenet about porting tktable to Tcl/Tk 9.0, it turned out that there is another repository, https://github.com/bohagan1/TkTable which already did the port. I asked @bohagan1 about the relation to your repository, and his answer was

My repo includes all of the relevant changes from wjoye's repo, plus whatever patches, bug fixes, etc. I could find on the Internet including the Debian patches, updated python file, etc. I also included many enhancements of my own making plus the Tcl/Tk 9 changes. So I would say it is the canonical version at this point.

As it is probably a very good idea to have one single development of this package instead of several forks: would it be possible to merge the efforts into a single, commonly maintained repository? This would probably very useful for the whole Tcl/Tk community.

Best regards

Ole

P.S.sorry that I can't provide a link; it seems that the Usenet isn`t archived any onger.

If I can get bohagan1’s version to compile for MacOS, linux, and windows, I’ll be glad to drop my version. I’ll let you know later.

@bohagan1 could you check that and come together? That would be great...
