I get this error on windows 8.1 but not windows 7 both are X64 and have .net 
4.0 install

On startup?

Can you move/rename the winauth.xml so it created a new one. Same error?

I have check all three machine the one windows 7 machine that work and the two 
windows 8.1 desktop and I can not find this file winauth.xml

The default location for the winauth.xml is 
c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\winauth\winauth.xml it should certainty be 
there on the windows 7 machine and, depending on when exactly the exception 
occurred, it's probably on the Win 8 computer as well.
