Implement large homepage layout, primarily for desktops.

@marstoyship this is good for review, with some caveats... namely, I still have to work through the bugs you reported on the medium layout that still apply (ie, hover states). Totally would understand if you want to wait, in which case I'll ping you when the bugs are resolved.
