Same problem on WinXP
trying to load any XML file using draft-davies-template-bare as its basis
results in the following error in XMLMind:
"Cannot load document c:\[pathname]\file.xml: c:\[pathname]\rfc2629.dtd (The
system cannot find the file specified)"

Also having the same issue:

Mac OSX Lion, XXE Personal Edition 5.0.0, xml2rfc-xxe-0.7.9

Have tried online installation as well as local zip file. In both cases, plugin
does not show up as an option.

Hi,

The xml2rfc.xxe_addon XML file has "4.0.0+" as a constraint on XMLMind version;
you'd need "5.0.0+" in this file for the plugin to be installable with XMLMind
5.0.

Until the web package is fixed (Bill ?), a workaround is to download the zip
file at http://code.google.com/p/xml2rfc-xxe/downloads , open the zip, adjust
the content of xml2rfc.xxe_addon file, rezip, point XMLMind at the right
directory (in preferences), and then you will be able to install it.

I just did this on my box, and the plugin seems to work fine.
I did not try each and every feature, however...

Thomas's suggested workaround does seem to work, however it appears that you
have to actually store the zip file in the addon directory. I tried to install
from the desktop and XMLMind barfed, complaining that desktop was "not a valid
add-on directory"

I finally:
A: Found where I built this last time and
B: had a chance to poke at it (I *really* need to remember to document the
build process).

The -00 cutoff happens today, so I'm going to wait till tomorrow before posting
it. While XMLMind version 4.x *shouldn't* try auto-update to version listing
5.0.0+ it would be unfortunate if folk couldn't submit before the deadline...

Warren, thanks for working on an update.

If you want to make sure you don't break anyone's workflow at a wrong time,
then you can wait until next week (cutoff for drafts -01 and above).

What would be nice would be to have everything smooth for the tutorials on
Sunday afternoon on Nov 13th.

Thanks again!
