I wonder if it's possible to pull out the interp_df object from the extraction step (i.e. pickPCApixels) and save it for use in the labelFeatsLasso step. Same code in both spots (and should probably be refactored anyway) but noting it here as a possiblity. Might break the simplicity of the pathway though.
