Roman numerals in editions should be small caps with dots on either side. Use tags for roman numerals.

Leslie: Now I realize that we need a code for small roman numerals- that’s the nec plus ultra according to the French Conseils for roman numerals- they should be between periods and in small caps. (See p. 29, para 15b., Fascicule I (1ere éd).
