Galago supports turning stemming on and off on a term-by-term basis in
retrieval, but this is not documented.

Workaround:

Use this syntax to use unstemmed posting lists:
   #text:dog:part=postings()
Use this syntax to force stemmed posting lists:
   #text:dog:part=stemmedPostings()
