Was there an issue with these tools when used against xorg 1.19? Because apart from chwb2, they are loop based, so I'm not sure they justify the need for xcb_aux_sync() (which we would have prefered to avoid if possible...)

I must admit that you are right. wew and wm{mv,rs} both worked very well on Xorg 1.19.

What do I do now? Push a fix to this PR or create a new one?
