[Arlo v2] Ignoring non basestation device with name doorbell

Describe the bug Got your Arlo V2 installed, and it starts up fine, but it won´t add my doorbell. Only got the hub showing. I got this message in the log: [Arlo v2] Ignoring non basestation device with name Doorbell.

Hello and thank you for the issue, which version of the package are you running?

Also, that first message is to be expected at the moment. Arlo sends doorbell alert messages through the basestation which is why it ignores discovered doorbell devices. I have to setup an active connection to the basestation to receive doorbell activity.

Hi, thanks for fast answer.

I running the latest. Also the hombridge is running on the latest. On my Home app, its says the hub is not supported.

Ah thank you for the additional detail. Are you running HOOBS or a custom homebridge install? I'm still working through that issue and I'm not sure if it's related to HOOBS or not. https://github.com/hoobs-org/HOOBS/issues/1861

I am running it on a Linux server I have. I tried to setup a new account with arlo for shareing. Used a Gmail account with activated imap. But it won’t accept the arlo credentsial. Don’t know why. But i recive the mfa code to the Mail account.

Thank you, okay I'll update this thread once I fix the issue with the Home app.

With regards to the gmail issue it may be related to google requiring application specific passwords. https://github.com/wo-d/arlo-api/blob/main/README.md#gmail

Hello, I think I've resolved this issue in the latest release. From what I can tell, Apple Home doesn't support stand-alone doorbells. However it does support video doorbells, so I've had to register the accessory as a video doorbell but obviously the video won't actually display anything. The library is still a work in progress, but you should be able to receive notifications now.
