Whitespace Handling #34

There is some rudimentary code for whitespace handling in the template parser but it's not tested and is definitely not working correctly, there are a couple of tests failing in the equivalence tests which should give someone a good starting point.

The code is still here, but it's no longer used as it was breaking more functionality than it was providing!
