What software would you like us to add to wolfi-os. Ideally include a URL to the project and its source.

Hey, I would like if you can include kafka-native new flavor of kafka, and not bitnami's or confluent's which currently exist.

their version also doesn't have any CVEs currently, but I still like to use chainguard version of consistent updates.

which versions of the software should we include?

i think we need to add native-image package first in order to build this.

is native-image cli source available? I can't seem to find it

eg: graalvm repo is here https://yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL9/graalvm/community/x86_64/index.html

but the source is not available it seems https://yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL9/graalvm/community/x86_64/index_src.html

I did a little research on this and it seems that this is what we need to do

build a special version of jdk that include static library because graalvm needs that. our current jdk doesn't include it.
package mx build tool of them too.
build graalvm with mx and that jdk build above. native-image could be a subpkg of graalvm build.
we can then use that subpkg to build kafka native
