What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a video
2. try to resize the window

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the cursor changes to resize when I put the mouse over the edge, but when I
press the button the cursor changes to move and the action is always moving the
window not resizing.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Fedora 22 x86_64
gnome-mplayer-1.0.9-3.20150203svn2476.fc22.i686
xfce
