The message of permissions granted to chatgpt-google-extension during its installation mentions access to user data of many sites, mentioning names of search engines but also just indicating a volume of domains (4) and sites (197).

This volume of access of the extension to browsing data raises the question of the purpose for a user? Why are my data collected, from whom, for whom, are they transmitted to third parties, who are they, for what purpose?

In short, without going (yet) into the considerations of compliance with privacy and personal data protection regulations, I think it is important (and decisive) to define the broad outlines of the data collected in a Privacy Policy for the extension.

This Policy should state that :

• the only purpose of the sites accessed by the extension is to collect the search request made by the user on a search engine,
• no site other than those strictly necessary for the use of the ChatGPT API service has a partial or complete copy of the search query data entered by the user,
• the extension does not collect, store or transmit any user query data beyond the purpose of requesting ChatGPT and displaying the result
