Context-Aware Path Recommendation:
I've worked with JS(in both webapp and smartphone app settings), RESTful API (Node.js ), HTML(simple CSS and Jinja templating), and being a Pitt student of course I have done a lot of Java. I also recently took Costa's Database Management class over the the summer which he mentioned would be useful.
Viz:
I've worked with JS(in both webapp and smartphone app settings), RESTful API (Node.js), HTML(simple CSS and Jinga templating) which would all be useful since they want a web-app. I'm also interested in getting some industry style experience in an AGILE setting.
Monitoring Frog Populations
While I have little experience in writing Machine Learning code, I have always found it interesting and wanted to work on a project based around it for awhile now. Its also something that would be useful and could be modified to be used in other cool projects.
