  1. Smartphone GPS Duty-Cycle For Saving Battery In Navigation The idea of optimizing the power usage of GPS, something I use for a particular app daily, is definitely a task I would invest in. My CS1530 Software Engineering project was written in IONIC, a framework that is usable on mobile app development, so I have a little experience with mobile app development. I have also taken CS1675 Machine Learning which would help with the lane navigation portion of the project.

  2. Synthetic Student Generation After knowing the pains of having limited to no data to test some apps due to privacy restrictions or complexities, I would like to help out others who might end up in the same boat. I have taken CS 1571 and CS 1675, two requirements listed for this project. I have also taken LING 1340 which does teach data science, albeit more for natural language processing related tasks.

  3. A match-making website for capstones After watching the first day of this class, I too agree that there could be some optimization for project selection. I have taken CS 1555 and thus have some experience with databases and SQL. I do not have much experience with interface development outside of HTML5, but am willing to learn.
