As I get closer to graduating and applying to jobs I have been thinking about what domain of computer science I want to go into. These projects cover three areas I am interested in exploring more: embedded systems, operating systems, and machine learning. I find the design decisions found in low level architecture interesting and enjoy coding in C. That naturally leads to the various operating systems projects. Last year I took the inaugural deep learning class with Dr. Kovashka and learned a ton. I think machine learning has a lot of potential to solve challenging problems. All the projects I listed except one have machine learning as the core of the project.
