1. Building AI Systems for Sign Language Interpretation
I have taken 2 ASL classes at Pitt and am currently taking the machine learning class. So, I think it would be interesting to see how the Ai is able to process a sign language video. Especially when it comes to signs that could mean multiple things depending on how they are used.
2. Natural Language Processing for Social Good
I am currently taking the machine learning class. This will allow me to have more practical experience for the project. I am also interested in NLP, as I have watched videos on NLP papers that have come out. Two examples of recent videos I have watched, are OpenAI GPT-3 and OpenAI DALL-E. I also feel that it is important to do projects that hopefully benefit society.
3. RISC-V web-based simulator for CS447
I found mips to be interesting and would like to see a newer assembly language. I have done multiple projects for school involving python. Some were involving websites and python for the web design class. I want to be able to help newer CS447 students have a better time when it comes to assembly, and to help update the curriculum. I hope to be able to give back to the school in this way, as its thanks to the school for teaching me programming.
