Change presets for Grade and Activity completion

Using Moodle 4.1.9 and Wooclap 2024020900

The Grade is preselected, as is Activity completion. They should be unselected from start (or even better, thave admin settings to select default settings for the activity). Especially the Activity completion setting is "sneaky", since this section is initially folded.

Hello @cdipe, Thank you for your feedback. It seems to me that the Grade should be selected by default, because one of the main use cases of our plugin is to synchronize the grade from Wooclap to the course gradebook, and we don't want teachers not to be possible to because they forgot to select Grade.

Hi @Wanbonnet, I understand. At our university, not many teachers will want to grade with Wooclap. They'll continue to use the Moodle quiz for that. The asynchronous option and the Moodle integration will mainly be used to get topic suggestions / questions before a lecture/meeting. They can set Grade to "none" though, so no big deal. But it would be nice with a default setting for system admins :)

@Wanbonnet The biggest issue is with the Activity Completion! That should not be set as default, since the wooclap event has to be synched back to Moodle manually by the teacher.

• The teacher might not even realise there is a Activity completion condition set, since that part of the settings is hidden until opened by the teacher.
• The students will wonder why their response is not marked as completed as soon as they have filled out the wooclap event.

Is there a way to get the synching done automatically every time someone has answered?

We have added this text, but the problem with the teacher not being aware of the condition being set remains.
