[GlobalStep - WooCommerce 5.0 Beta 2] Website fails to trigger this "New note: manage activity from home screen" as per test instructions. #6159

Bug Description:

Website fails to trigger this "New note: manage activity from home screen" as per test instructions

Environment:

Windows 10, macOS Mojave v10.14.6 (18G103) Browser: Chrome(Version 87.0.4280.88 (64-bit)) Firefox(Version 83.0)(64-bit) Safari: v13.1.1 (14609.2.9.1.3)

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Create any test site using Jurassic Ninja.
  2. Install and activate all the required plugins
  3. Complete the Onboarding setup wizard.
  4. Go to Plugins->Add New->Upload plugin.
  5. Install and activate WooCommerce 5.0 plugin.
  6. Go to WooCommerce->Home Screen.
  7. Observe that website fails to trigger this "New note: manage activity from home screen"

Actual Result:

Website fails to trigger this "New note: manage activity from home screen" as per test instructions.

Expected Result:

Website should trigger "New note: manage activity from home screen".

@gglobalstep Thanks for the issue.

Did you have the WooCommerce Admin feature plugin installed or just WooCommerce 5.0? WooCommerce 5.0 beta currently includes WooCommerce Admin version 1.8.3.

This note is only triggered on version 1.9.0.

Yes we had the WooCommerce Admin feature plugin with WooCommerce Admin version 1.9.0. Also you can check the "Details" section mentioned above which contains WC Status report.

Thanks for the info @gglobalstep! I do see 1.9.0 packaged, but not as a separate plugin. I think this PR resolves that but cc @moon0326 to make sure this also resolves WCA when packaged in core.

Edit: @moon0326 If this works in core, feel free to close this issue.

After uploading the new separate WooCommerce Admin 1.9.0 plugin, we are able to see the "New note: Manage your store activity from the Home screen" on Home screen.
