[GlobalStep] Validation missing for invalid password on the frontend for "Password Protected" Page #3894

Bug Description:

Validation missing for invalid password on the frontend for "Password Protected" Page.

Environment:

Windows 10, macOS High Sierra v10.13.6 Browser: Chrome(Version 88.0.4324.104) (64-bit) Firefox(Version 83.0)(64-bit) Safari: v13.1.2(13609.3.5.1.5)

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Create any test site using JN site.
  2. Install and activate all the required plugins
  3. Complete the onboarding setup wizard.
  4. Go to Pages->Add New.
  5. Create a page and set the Visibility to "Password Protected".
  6. Go to frontend and visit the created page.
  7. Enter a invalid password.
  8. Observe that validation missing for invalid password on the frontend for "Password Protected" Page.

Actual Result:

Validation missing for invalid password on the frontend for "Password Protected" Page.

Expected Result:

Validation should be display for invalid password on the frontend for "Password Protected" Page.

Thank you for reporting the issue. It is being caused by WooCommerce Blocks which is being developed in another repository: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gutenberg-products-block.

I am going to move your bug report there so that the right team could take a look further.

Hey @juliaamosova I don't see how is this being caused by WooCommerce Blocks. I reproduced this using regular blocks and it's still the same. This behaviour comes from core and I don't see it as a bug really.
