Bug Description:

"Something went wrong" error message is displayed on cart page upon removing the product from the cart and adding the new product from the "New in Store" section.

Environment:

Woocommerce Version: WooCommerce 5.1 WordPress version: (v5.7)

PC: Windows 10 Chrome(Version 89.0.4389.90) Firefox(Version 86.0)

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Create any test site using JN site.
  2. Install and activate all the required plugins
  3. Complete the onboarding setup wizard
  4. Install and activate the WooCommerce blocks plugin.
  5. Edit "Cart" page and insert Cart block instead of Shortcode, save.
  6. Edit "Checkout" page and insert Checkout block instead of Shortcode, save.
  7. Add some products.
  8. Go to Shop page on frontend.
  9. Add any product to the cart.
  10. Go to Cart page.
  11. Remove the product from the cart.
  12. Now try to Add new product to cart from "New in store" section.
  13. Observe that "Something went wrong" error message is displayed.

Actual Result:

"Something went wrong" error message is displayed on cart page upon removing the product from the cart and adding the new product from the "New in Store" section.

Expected Result:

Product should get add to the cart upon removing the product from the cart and adding the new product from the "New in Store" section.

I was able to reproduce. The issue happens when you add any product to the Cart from the Empty cart page.

Heads-up that #4022 is the same issue but with different testing steps. I closed that one as a duplicate of this because I expect the same solution will work for both.

I was able to reproduce this as well, but I'm just noting that I can only replicate this when clicking on a Simple Subscription in the Newest Products block, not variable subscriptions.
