Orders Badge does not sync on iOS when HPOS is enabled #12468

Describe the bug

The badge showing how many processing orders the store has in the Orders tab does not sync if the store has HPOS enabled. I also did not get any notification for my test orders, while one of the users who reported the issue mentioned they get duplicate notifications if they enabled the compatibility mode.

To Reproduce

  1. Open a store that has orders in the Processing Status
  2. Enable HPOS if not enabled
  3. notice the badge showing new processing orders does not match the actual number of orders under the Processing status

Expected behavior I would expect the badge to match the processing status order like it does on Android and to receive notifications

Update User iOS is also 17.4.1

During my tests, I disabled HPOS and enabled again, and once it was re-enabled the badge is completely gone, even tho I still have 42 orders under Processing status. Android still shows the correct badge
