PayPal Payments Impacting Multiple Subscriptions feature Despite Utilizing Different Payment Gateways (2549) #1948

Describe the Bug

PayPal Payments affects the multiple subscriptions feature even when a subscription is paid using a different gateway.

We used Stripe with PayPal Payments active, however, it affects this feature when even the payment is done using some other gateway. The second subscription stays in "Pending" status.

To Reproduce

  1. Install Product Bundles, Woo Subscriptions
  2. Create 2 Subscription products with different billing cycle
  3. Create a bundle and add the subscription products to it
  4. Make sure PayPal Payments is active
  5. Purchase the bundle with Stripe
  6. See the second subscription is in Pending status
  7. Now, deactivate PayPal Payments and purchase the bundle again with Stripe
  8. See both subscriptions goes to "Active"

Expected Behavior

PayPal Payments being active should not affect the feature when the payment is done with some other gateway.

It looks like #1822 returned in 2.4.3 after a refactor. A rollback to 2.4.2 should resolve this in the meantime.
