Order paid, but still marked as awaiting payment #2459

Describe the Bug

Anyone that orders via Paypal can send a payment and get to the invoice page. Although the order is kept as "Awaiting payment" in woocommerce. Then using the inventory stock management, the order is getting cancelled.

In the order dashboard:

No error in the error_log

To Reproduce

  1. Go to any product
  2. Add a product
  3. Go to cart
  4. Pay using paypal
  5. Go to admin dashboard
  6. Go to orders
  7. Order is still awaiting payment
