Gift card failure not logged #38

Describe the bug

A user has it enabled on their end and attempting to use a GC with funds loaded to complete a purchase on their site. When applying the card, they receive the following error: There was an error while applying the gift card. The issue is, there is no log created, and no other information as to why the card isn’t working.

To reproduce

  1. Do something to remove the woocommerce_square_gift_card_payment_token from the session
  2. Use the gift card and get the error message

Do something to remove the woocommerce_square_gift_card_payment_token from the session

So...in sandbox mode, you can just change https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-square/blob/57f5ca735cfaed40dfb2ecee57659a807fd4cbaa/includes/Gateway/Gift_Card.php#L246C3-L246C19 to $payment_token = true, so I guess some debug logging to try and help narrow down why there's no token is what I would expect.

@nicholasjeberlin I'm very confused. I only opened an issue to note the lack of any logged information. Getting that information logged will do nothing to actually solve the problem the user is experiencing. They will need to figure out why the session value isn't set.
