Deleted images leave blank spaces in product gallery

Prerequisites

• [X] I have searched for similar bugs in both open and closed issues and cannot find a duplicate.

Describe the bug

When an image is deleted from Media, it is detached from the featured image which is expected.

But if the image is a part of the product gallery, it shows up as blank under the product's gallery area:

Expected behavior

Image should be detached from the product's gallery when it is deleted.

Actual behavior

Image is only detached from the product's gallery when product edit page is visited again or product is updated.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a simple product with a featured image and a few gallery images
2. View the product page
3. Delete one of the gallery images in between from Media library
4. Refresh product page to see the issue.

Isolating the problem

• [X] I have deactivated other plugins and confirmed this bug occurs when only WooCommerce plugin is active.
• [X] This bug happens with a default WordPress theme active, or Storefront.
• [X] I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.
