Kali: Gray background and no backspace functionality #2

When downloaded to a Kali Linux VM on a Windows 10 machine running VirtualBox, backspace was not available and there was a distracting gray background as per the image above.

Task List:

[ ] Modify background to match terminal default
[ ] Add backspace functionality

@omnicode0 I'm guessing the terminal isn't usually grey when you just open it up without nestingnote?

@woodsonmiles Correct. Its default background color is black.
