File names are not retained when uploading images

Expected behavior

I would expect file names to be retained when uploaded to the Android app, as they are on the web.

Actual behavior

File names are not retained when uploading images. This behaviour was communicated to us by a user in 7802217-zen:

all images I upload are renamed to wp-#####################. I need to keep the original file name to organize my media.

I found a similar, since-closed, issue with similar reports from Android users in https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/issues/2620 and on iOS at https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-iOS/issues/13018.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

• In Google Photos, select a photo to view its file name.
• Navigate to My Site → Media in the app.
• Go through the steps to upload a photo from your device and choose the photo from step 1.
• After the photo has uploaded, verify that it does not match up with the original file name.

Tested on Pixel 6, Android 14, JPAndroid 24.3

Any status on this? This is an obvious bug that makes the media upload feature of the app useless. Have to use the web uploader on Android right now which only works if the phone screen stays on and the browser stays in focus which is quite tedious.
