This is a counterpart issue for https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-FluxC-Android/issues/720. The issue is explained in detail in its FluxC PR: https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-FluxC-Android/pull/827 which is necessary for it to be implemented on WPAndroid.

@malinajirka should this issue stay open or can it be closed?

This is one of the issues which doesn't have a high priority, but it'd still be nice to implement it sometime. We might want to consider adding it to groundskeeping - it's not a bug, but still an issue which affects users' storage (the impact is very low).
