Blogging Reminders: Lack of feature parity with Android

Expected behavior

Feature parity with Android:

• Blogging Reminder settings are available on self-hosted sites that aren't connected to Jetpack

Actual behavior

• Blogging Reminder settings are not available for self-hosted sites that aren't connected to Jetpack

Steps to reproduce the behavior

• Load the Jetpack app with a self-hosted site not connected to Jetpack and try to access the Blogging Reminders feature

Tested on iPhone 12, iOS 16.5.1, Jetpack iOS / WordPress iOS 22.8

Blogging Reminders being disabled in the WordPress app may have been caused by the Jetpack focus work. This method is called as part of this one.

The blogging reminders are being removed from WPAndroid and self-hosted sites that are not connected to Jetpack. @twstokes, can we close this issue since both the iOS and Android apps now have the expected behavior?

👋 Hey @irfano! From our conversations I think this should be closed if @ravishanker's PR behaves the same way as iOS for self-hosted sites not connected to Jetpack now that it's checking for capabilities.

I'll update this issue to reflect that we no longer expect iOS to support the WordPress app. Thanks!

👋 Hey @twstokes ! I see that the PR mentioned in you comment was closed but I also see that this one was merged: https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/pull/18759 .

Do you think this is enough for closing this issue?

In the meantime I'll add a low priority to this bug report.

👋 Hey @tiagomar, thanks for the follow-up. I tested recent versions of both apps and it seems this issue is still accurate and should remain open:
