Just bought a pair of Yamaha HPH-MT5. Sold my ATH M40 and returned a pair of DT 770 for being too clampy. The MT5 Clamp force isnt bad, though the pads get warm after 45 min or so. I like the fact my whole ear fits inside the pad. The Circular pads of the DT 770 rest on your lobe and top of the ear. I hate that. These MT5 sound as good, or better, than the ATH M40 with less clamp force and bigger inner ear hole on the pads. Perfect for someone with a big head and ears.
