For live monitoring where you want to hear everything wrong with your audio, the Sony MDR-7506, Sony MDR-V6, Senal SMH-1000 and Audio Technica ATH-M50 are better. These headphones are better for kicking back and enjoying music, and are more comfortable. The beyerdynamic DT 1350 cost more, but offer far superior sound and slightly better isolation than any of these. If you're serious about monitoring, get the DT 1350.

Good headphones last forever. My first pair of beyerdynamic DT990 that I bought over 30 years ago still look, work and sound great. Therefore if you're buying these to enjoy music, I'd suggest springing for either of the far superior beyerdynamic DT 1350 for use at home or in studio, or the beyerdynamic T51i for use with iOS devices. Yes, they cost twice as much, but after a few years you'll have forgotten the price while you're still enjoying their superior quality every day.

Detachable cords make it easy to replace a bad one, but makes these less attractive for use in schools.

Get these if you don't want to spend more than $100 and prefer a warmer, more distant sound; otherwise I'd suggest spending more if you want the really great sound one usually gets from everything else from beyerdynamic.

Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro | Pro Monitoring Headphone for $80

lightweight nice materials caps nice and soft semi ear after about an hour feels a little bit pressure on top part of ear isolation on a good level

sound soundstage quite small highs more softer, recessed side bass is really nice mids on a recessed side some details lost on a high spectrum fun sound stage for electronic music they are good

if you want to listen to them just for enjoyable experience they're actually nice because don't really fatigue you, you can just lay back and enjoy the music and kind drawn into it because you don't get to much, you can listen

For monitoring (professional studio work) they are not quite enough

In general YAMAHA HPH-MT5 is better, but highs are harsh and more fatigue.

Not comfortable.

For medium/big ears they are "no go". To match pressure.
