can not get memberlist, spoolfile and so on #26

Hey all, i have installed ileditor on windows10 with setup.exe from http://worksofbarry.com/ileditor/installer/setup.exe. I have defined my as400-system... The config is correct, the ftp-log doesn't show any error. but i can't get memberlist, spoolfile and so on. Can anybody help ? Thanks in advanced

My windows firewall is also not active....any other ftp will work fine.... So there is no solutin for me in that articel #21..... Are there any tcp/ip ports that could be the problem ???? Remember...i'm on a remote system via vpn !!! Any other idee ??? Thanks. ...

What CCSID does your system use?

normal.stndard ..655 and so on...i will look and come back... Also today i will test a local installation... I'm curios what happend... I come back later ...Thanks...

Can you please repeat your steps and then take a look at the FTP log? Help -> Session FTP Log

Hi Liam, here ist the ftp-log... I've set my firewall off, but same error occured. as yesterday written, i've tested it in the local network, also same error. So i think a port or some else can't be the problem. Thanks !

I have opened an issue on the FluentFTP project (the library we use to connect to the IBM i) in hopes that they can help me solve this.

Hi @peetluka and @prsbrc

While I work on some things, check out these links. They might help you solve the problem.

I am also adding a feature to ILEditor tonight which allows you to change the the Data Connection Type for FTP. The default is AutoPassive but changing it to AutoActive (or another option, you will have to test) may fix this issue.

Hi @peetluka and @prsbrc

A release has been made, please update and then check the Connection Settings for the FTP tab. Here you should:

  1. Change your Data Connection Type to AutoActive
  2. Restart ILEditor
  3. Open a source physical file, open a member, save a member as normal.

If this doesn't work, try another Data Connection Type. If you're having no luck, please let me know.

I’ve another IBM AS400 with os-version V5R3, there it doesn’t work.

But i have to test it after creating the dtaara as written on the link from your mail yesterday.

Hey @WorksOfLiam After 5 minutes idle i run on an timeout with the ftp connection and so i saved my changes only local. Can you please implement an automatic reconnect to your editor? Thanks a lot! greets christian
