Compute Activity Indicator #7

This issue tracks all tasks to compute the activity indicator, according to the proposed project. The implementation will take on datapartnership/urban-pulse.

@jfulponi @SahitiSarva @Holly-Transport This project seeks to improve the methodology introduced on Support for the Türkiye Earthquake Impact Analysis and extend it to cities in the Europe and Central Asia region. Do you have any initial ideas/suggestions/comments?

Maybe it would be more robust to compute a percentile rank (instead or in addition to a z-score). Percentile rank provides a straightforward interpretation as it represents the percentage of values that fall above/below a given baseline. For example, a percentile rank of 80 indicates that 80% of values are below that baseline. Also, percentile ranks work well with non-normally distributed data. In contrast, z-scores standardize data by expressing each value in terms of standard deviations from the mean (in this case, the mean of the chosen baseline).
