Yes, long overdo. Do we need a subdomain, why not keep it general *worldbank.github.io

Thanks @trevmon28! Matter of fact, worldbank.github.io already exists. My question would be about the content. Would you have any advice about whom to involve on this (or can we simply create the page?)
My advice for short term is to have discussion with current admins (@bpstewar and myself) to implement your suggestions on readme and org page asap.
We can anticipate that these will likely be the primary (but not only) stops where public can find WB public repos. We should be prepared for a broader discussion on content of these pages as we move forward in corporate governance.
The DIME account has a README.md that renders at the top of the landing page of the account: https://github.com/dime-worldbank.
This should not be a substitute for worldbank.github.io
, but can provide quick-links to worldbank.github.io
and a few more selected resources. Then worldbank.github.io
will also be easy to find for people that otherwise only would have browsed https://github.com/worldbank.

@g4brielvs, I do not seem to find this page. Do you have a full link yo it?

@kbjarkefur I apologize for the oversight. To clarify, I have created this repository, and we currently have a prototype of the page. Additionally, I also created the organization README. However, I am still unclear on the necessary next steps or approvals required to publish the page publicly.
@bpstewar @trevmon28 @quehill @Holly-Transport Could you advise on how to proceed?
@g4brielvs I definitely agree we should leverage github pages as a home page of sorts for open source. Here's a good example from CERN who gave a presentation on their OSPO when I attended a UN open source workshop in May: https://opensource.web.cern.ch/
But given it would be a public page, we should probably consult ECR. Let me talk to our internal ITS team that works on publishing public pages to get their guidance on branding, content, approvals, etc.
The objective of this proposal is to create a dedicated GitHub Page (if possible, code.worldbank.org or opensource.worldbank.org) for the World Bank's GitHub organization to provide a landing page for showcasing our projects, initiatives, and engaging with the community.
