[QA] WalletConnect pop-up does not appear after user selects "Change wallet" option and selects "WalletConnect" option again #1739

Describe the current behavior in detail

Checked on https://wormhole-connect-mainnet.netlify.app/ [Mainnet] with macOS and Google Chrome.

Precondition: MetaMask wallet was previously connected with QR Code through WalletConnect.

Steps:

  1. Select Avalanche network as source chain
  2. Click "Connect wallet" button
  3. Select "WalletConnect" option
  4. Check that MetaMask wallet is successfully automatically connected
  5. Click on wallet account
  6. Select "Change wallet" option
  7. Check if WallectConnect pop-up appears.

Actual result: Wallet is automatically connected.

What is the expected/desired behavior

WalletConnect pop-up appears.

Scenario is reproducible on wormhole-connect-mainnet (Connect v2) and https://portalbridge.com/.

Issue is reproducible on https://wormhole-connect-mainnet.netlify.app/, reopening the ticket.
