Glances Not Working #18

Hey there,

First off, thanks for your great work on this addon.

Unfortunately, Glances do not seem to work. The majority of my server (EU Argent Dawn) uses TRP and it's Glances function, but I prefer the smaller and less intrusive XRP. Sadly, XRP users cannot read glances from TRP users and TRP users can't from XRP users.

Can you make these compatible by tuning our glances into the TRP glances protocol, somehow?

Can you also make glances visible without having to use cards, but make them appear somewhere in the regular profile viewer or tooltip, for those of us that prefer not using cards but the unintrusive, optional appearance?

As far as I know TRP will have an update eventually that will bridge the compatiblity.

Glances are available along the right hand side of the profile viewer if they are set up. You can see a profile without targeting a person by doing a who, right clicking their name, and viewing profile, or by right clicking their name in chat, or typing /xrp show avatarname .

TRP 1.4.5 (unreleased) is required for compatibility. This is noted in the release notes, but I guess people don't read them. It'll work once that's released, and users upgrade. As per Zandrae's comment, they're visible in the viewer as-is.

Thank you both. Also, I did read patch notes, must have overlooked the part where it said it was readable in the viewer and missed the TRP thing entirely.
