I've not used this functionality before, but just a question...
...are these currencies purely visual in that they are displayed on the site but then checkout/purchase still take place in the primary currency, or does checkout take place in these currencies.
There is probably a need for both solutions as some people may want to display prices in alternate currencies but only be able accept payments in one currency.
That seems to refresh my memory - I'm pretty sure it was indeed just a visual only thing. I remember because we based it off some other site :))
Brett - does that seem right?

As part of redesigning the layout of the add/edit product view, I'm a little confused about the "+ Add Currency" option.
I understand it allows the site to show a user from different countries different pricings in their currency. However, this seems highly incompatible with a lot of the other features already in existence and to come.
Not all currencies supported by gateways
Table rate pricing does not affect other currencies? (unconfirmed)
Sale Price not possible in other currencies.
After a brief discussion with @JustinSainton, this alternate currency option should probably be a plugin, and be implemented better than it is now (providing alternate currency support for sale pricing and in table rate pricing.) This would depend on how many people rely on this feature.
Please let us know if this feature is valuable to you and how you use it and how often.
