2 years ago We are currently rechecking the schedule for People of WordPress series and making any adjustments.
- Revised dates etc sent to Chloe B and Josepha to check. Range of continents rechecked. Note there are a low number of entries which can be used to write follow-up features from certain continents.
- Once feedback/ changes received, GitHub cards to be updated.
Proposal to deal with features in batches of three to:
- avoid reworking and disappointment to those being featured from delays in receiving draft copy or usable photographs, sometimes this can be unavoidable and due to external factors
- reduce the pressure of the editorial task group that has often had to fill in gaps, reschedule and deal with follow-ups with limited notice
- avoid scheduling delays for translations
- help tie-in in with cross-promotions with other items the A8C team are bringing in with new newsletters, any relevant campaigns, HeroPress' sharing of the features, and any cross-links that are useful at the time within the project, eg releases, WPTD
- keep the flexibility we need to move scheduled article dates around due to changes in the featured contributor's life be able to bring in more help earlier and make recruitment and reallocation easier
