Steps To Reproduce:

Use markdown fenced code blocks with Markdown parsing enabled.
Add a known shortcode inside the fenced code block.
Add raw HTML inside the shortcode inside the fenced code block.
Expected Result

That the raw HTML will be escaped for display as a fenced/pre code block.

Observed Result

The raw HTML is not escaped, resulting in it being parsed by the browser instead of being displayed as a part of the <pre><code> tags.
