changing 'description' or 'host name' of physical node fails #291

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Steps to reproduce:
1. install owp
2. add another remote node
3. try "Change Settings"

Actual result:
- settings of 2nd (remote) node can be changed
- settings of install node ('localhost') can't be changed, a "unable to
authorize. Probably incorrect auth key" is shown in hidden dialogue for
"additional settings" ('SSL' is not checked)

Expected result:
- same handling/behaviour for 'node owp is installed on' and 'remote nodes'
(especially to replace "localhost" with an appropriate FQDN)
- alternatively a solution to change the config/description externally (didn't
find a place)

Version of the product:
2.0

Server OS:
Debian 5.0.8
Browser:

This issue can be fixed by disconnecting localhost and then adding back.

Make sure hostname --fqdn works on the HN.
Hostname resolves to the IP.
Check the localhost in the Physical Server list and click on Disconnect Server.
"localhost" will be gone from list.
Now click on Connect New Server.
Put the Hostname you want to appear.
Put the root password.
Click connect.

This workaround did the job for me.
Nice panel :) .
