This should go onto the current develop branch.

@weiwangncar Can you say more about why this is being done? Also, did you mean to target the release-v4.5 branch?

@mgduda I didn't check the merging branch before merging, so the fix went to release-v4.5 (it's how long the PR has been on Github). I would like to revert that merge, and re-open the PR to merge into develop branch.
