WRF 4.6.0 does not generate refl_10cm data in WSM6 microphysics #2096

In version 4.6.0 of WRF, some modifications were made to the WSM6 microphysics. Since then, it is no longer generating data for the refl_10cm variable using the do_radar_ref=1 flag in namelist.input.

To get around this problem, I was forced to reinstall the previous version 4.5.2 so that the refl_10cm data would work again, as it always did.

I think it is necessary to analyze the phys/module_mp_wsm6.F code to see what is going wrong with the modifications that were made in this new version 4.6.0 to solve this problem.

I can confirm @gabrielcassol assessment. Using this namelist and ncview to look at WRF output file there is no values for refl_10cm

Yes, we have started sharing some options with MPAS and this loss was a consequence of the shared WSM6 version. We will work to restore the capability. Meanwhile use the previous version.
