@p770193 @untzag Should I be only looking at the sign of phase matching, not the value?

Has not been a problem yet, as all simulations done so far in WrightSim have been phase matching of +/- 1

at first thought I think the magnitude does matter, because we can do experiments where a single field interacts multiple times

that said, it might be simpler to represent such experiments using multiple pulses that are locked together in phase, frequency, delay etc---I wonder if this will make generic hamiltonians easier to write

I think we need input from @p770193 on this one
