rather than timestamp, for acqns not yet complete

On one hand, I agree that this would be a fine solution to one of the weird little edge cases we see...

On the other, as far as I'm concerned aqns are likely to go away some point relatively soon and not sure I want to put any amount of time into changing their behavior and the weird little edge case really is not that disruptive.
