Mac operating system? #8

Hi,

I installed the text processor to my Mac, but it does not start the app at all. The security system does not even identify this app, so I can't do anything to start the app. I am curious if the app is compatible with Big Sur, the latest version of the operating system. Thank you.

Hi @ayaylali , the latest version of the Corpus Text Processor, version 1.0.8 should be compatible with MacOS Big Sur (11.x). That version included special logic to make it compatible with changes that MacOS introduced in Big Sur.

Can you check which version you tried to install? If you did try to install the latest version, can you assist in debugging by trying to install the previous version, 1.0.3, and report whether that shows the same behavior or not?

Hi Mark,

I used the version on this page. It is 1.0.1 since I was reviewing the wiki to use it for my own research. That is what I came across in the first place. I would not know how to find the other versions. It is not listed on this page, but thanks for sharing the download page with me. The latest version works fine. I was able to open it without any security approval.

Best, Ali

Thanks for clarifying, @ayaylali . I've updated the link in the CIABATTA wiki to point to the latest release of the Corpus Text Processor.
