Feature suggestion: Cloud sync - subscription #322

I would happily pay a monthly fee for WM if it had a first-class cloud sync, ie., it would automatically sync all documents to the cloud - instead of the current reliance of having to sync up the database files via Dropbox or Onedrive. Ideally, this would be using the APIs directly rather than synching files.

On todo list. i.

Thanks, that's great. That and the lack of install system is the only thing that keeps me from recommending WM to all of my students. Because for pure writing experience WM beats everybody else by such a wide margin, so it is disappointing that it does not close the loop on the whole workflow.

Out of curiosity, what's the problem with OneDrive? On another topic, after using WM3 for a good part of this year, I'm finding myself spending more time in Typora because it shows me the formatting directly. However WM3 has macros, a feature that I find essential so I end up going back and forth. I keep my files on OneDrive, backing them up periodically to my PC, and use JotterPad on my mobile device. The main advantage to JotterPad is that I can use Google speech to text to input directly into my markdown file on OneDrive.

I find that OneDrive does not always sync up reliably when I have the whole WM directory in there. When I go between machines, WM sometimes does not start. I would much rather that it accesses the cloud API directly.

But I good suggestion about Jotterpad.

I have to admit I have odd problems with delays in OneDrive. It's like I save a file to it then it has to send it to the cloud and back down again and in the middle, life can get very confusing. I'm not sure that's what it's doing, but it seems like it.

I +1 to the feature suggestion. I was about to pay monthly for Novlr because of that feature
